Luckily, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has put together a global standard, known as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, or WCAG, that provides a single, universal guide for creating online accessibility, including online audio and video.
The guidelines aim to meet the needs of individuals, organizations, and governments internationally, including people with physical, cognitive, or learning disabilities.
With an estimated 1 billion people with disabilities worldwide and the Internet having no borders, a single accessibility standard has been hugely helpful in providing and managing global online accessibility.
